Multimedia course available [MENA]

Professional visual journalists from Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia can participate in this course and receive a EUR2,000 grant to produce a high-quality multimedia story.

World Press Photo invites professional visual journalists to apply for the “Reporting Change Multimedia Course.” Ten selected participants will receive guidance from professional trainers and a grant to produce a high-quality multimedia story from the region.
Applicants must have one year of experience working as a freelancer or on staff, be nationals or permanent residents working in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco or Tunisia, have access to high definition multimedia equipment, and must have a basic understanding of English and/ or French.

The multimedia storytelling course consists of three phases that will take place between January 2014 and April 2014: five days of face to face introduction including planning and producing a story followed by an online coaching, and will end with a face to face workshop for finalizing the stories.

Each of the participants will receive a EUR2,000 (US$2,675) grant to produce a high-quality multimedia story from the region. Travel and lodging expenses are covered.
