Journalists interested in improving their investigative reporting skills can attend this course in Slovenia.
Organized by the The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), the course is open to midcareer journalists, young journalists and editors. It will take place Aug. 25-31.
A limited number of full scholarships are available for journalists
from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo,
Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia. Applicants must have at least
three years of journalism experience. Applications for scholarships
must be received by Aug. 5.
The regular course fee is EUR€790 (US$1,035) and is all-inclusive,
covering tuition, room and all meals. Fees also include BIRN’s published
textbook “Digging Deeper: A Guide for Investigative Journalists in the
Balkans.”
English is the working language of the course.
Standard applications must be received by Aug. 12.
Applicants must submit a completed application form, letter of
motivation, C.V. and sample of work (for scholarship applicants only).
